Kids & Kindness Achievement Award

The annual Kids & Kindness Achievement Award will recognize a General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) club that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to communitywide humane and environmental education. Kids & Kindness is a sanctioned GFWC conservation program. Candidates will be judged on their successful development of community partnerships and/or innovative approaches in support of the Kids & Kindness Adopt-a-Classroom program. Special consideration will be given to clubs that, in spite of limited resources, exhibit creativity, ingenuity, and perseverance in their pursuit of humane education goals.

Procedures and Deadlines

  • Organizations must be participants in Humane Society Youth/NAHEE's Kids & Kindness Adopt-a-Classroom program to be eligible for the Kids & Kindness Achievement Award. Not participating yet?   • Complete the online entry form.
  • Entries must be received by March 1, 2008. The winner will be selected by May 1, 2008.
  • Kids & Kindness Achievement Award honors a GFWC women's club that has developed a successful youth education-oriented conservation program.

Prizes and Other Benefits

  • A beautiful plaque, presented at a special ceremony at the annual GFWC conference.
  • An announcement about the winning organization posted on humanesociety.org/youth.
  • A news release about the winner sent to national media outlets.
