Entries Now Being Accepted for the
KIND News 25th Anniversary Award

The KIND News 25th Anniversary Award will recognize an animal care/control organization that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to communitywide youth education. Candidates will be judged on their successful development of community partnerships and/or innovative approaches in support of Humane Society Youth’s Adopt-a-Classroom program. Special consideration will be given to organizations that exhibit creativity, ingenuity, and perseverance in their efforts to start and/or expand Adopt-a-Classroom programs.

Procedures and Deadlines

1. Organizations must be participants in Humane Society Youth’s Adopt-a-Classroom program to be eligible. Not participating yet? It's easy! Click here to learn more about the program. 2. Complete the entry form.
3. Entries must be received by December 31, 2008. The winner will be selected by February 1, 2009.
4. Prize to the winning organization: A trip for 2 staff members to The HSUS’s 2009 Animal Care EXPO, April 6 – 9, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada, including airfare and hotel.
Prize for 5 honorable mentions: $50 gift certificate for use in Humane Society Youth Programs & Materials Catalog.
